Vans Dawn Of The Shred

Author: admin - Categories: Uncategorized

The Vans Dawn Of The Shred was a great, fun event. The standard of riding was really high and aptmosphere was amazing.

The set-up was also really good, especially the mini ramp which I thought was the best feature I have ever hit in an indoor slope.

The comp was run by a series of jam sessions on each of the features, the first was on the big barrel stall at the bottom then the mini ramp and the house jib. After the jam sessions there was a 2 run final which was again a high level of riding. Then the results came and I was so stoked to come 1st, I thought it was great.

Sno!Zone Rail Session at Glasgow.

Author: admin - Categories: Uncategorized

Yesterday, I was in Glasgow for the Sno!Zone rail jam, which was amazing fun. The set-up was so good, there was a 6m box then into an A-frame and 10m rail, then at the the bottom a quaterpipe with a log on the top. I thought that it was a great day; the riding was at a high standard even the weather held up. I just wanted to say thanks to Damian Doyle and the Sno!Zone team for making it happen. Can’t wait for the next one.

Board Test, kaunertal Austria

Author: admin - Categories: Uncategorized

Hey…

The Board test this year was great for me and i had so much fun on the jumps. I was staying with Salomon and it was so great to stay with them. Whilst i was there i did some trick tips for Whitelines and some other shooting for other things. The weather was up and down all week but it was still amazing, even to get out of the park and do some riding on the piste.

Me, James Fuller, Josh Smith ( Silver Fox ), Andy ( Kainhead ) and Kate McCondichie.

The last days at the board test were great, on the thursday everyone had a kicker session which was great fun. It was a bluebird day and the jumps were Sick!

I also went to Aqua Dome with Salomon which was a massive Spar with loads of swimming pools and saunas. After we all went out for some food because we were all hungry after swimming for a good few hours.

During the week Keith McIntosh died in an avalanche which was so upsetting.  I have known Keith for a few years now, he was great fun to ride with and it is a big shock to see him go. Keith thanks for all the help you gave me. I will always remember you and your back Rodeos were amazing! R.I.P Keith. The day after we all had a 1 minute silence for Keith and everyone at the board test had a run down to the bottom of the lift.

3rd Day In Solden

Author: admin - Categories: Uncategorized

3rd day in Solden

The third day in Solden was so much fun and we just had a chilled day trying to get shots on anything we could. But at the end of the day we hit another wallride but this time it was easier as we had a snow cat push the snow to make a landing and a jump. The wallride turned out to be a sick session and we got some amazing shots from it.  At about 7pm we finished riding the wallride and went for a pizza, then went back to the hotel to pack for going home the next day.

2nd Day In Solden

2nd day in Solden

The second day in Solden was an up and down day. The day got off to a bad start as the sled broke down and we couldn’t hit the jump. The sled soon was fixed and the session started. I had a good session on the jump but not as good as the first day in Solden. Ben had a bad start falling on the jump and scraping his face down the landing, but he was soon ok and did some beautiful frontside 360s for the camera. We were all tired that day but at the end of the day we went and hit up a wallride under the gondola. This was amazing to film and shoot on and we  ended on a high getting some more great shots.
